Progress on the house is still continuing. A couple of David's buddies from high school came over for the weekend to help out on the house. They finished the plumbing and now our water pressure is fabulous!!
New plumbing:
With the plumbing finished, we were finally able to hook up the washer and dryer (after 5 weeks) :)
Next step is the framing of interior walls, then electrical and drywall and all the finishing touches.
While we were renovating the kitchen and fixing the roof over the kitchen and the front of the house, we knew we would have to re-do the roof. And we decided to make a change and go with a metal roof. We are very happy with the results:
While we have been working on the house - my work life has changed dramatically. I have begun traveling. The first trip was for a week of training to Phoenix. It was a long week but I learned a lot and had a lot of fun with my co-workers during our free time. Below are some pictures from the trip:
This was our dinner location the first night! Absolutely gorgeous.
One of my colleagues from NC (who has been assistant for the past couple of years also) has almost the same tattoo as me. Little twilight zone.
Some of my awesome team members:
Decided to invest in some luggage for my future life of travels and it came in the mail this past week!
My first ever eBay purchase. All I can say is nerve wracking.
Yesterday David and I made the trip to Atlanta and IKEA to order our cabinets. Let's just say we walked in with a style that we had pretty much set our minds on and walked out with something different. Hopefully I will blog about it soon. Until then....
