The kitchen has come so far since the last update! The drywall has been completed and painted. Tile has been laid, IKEA cabinets installed, granite installed. And as of this morning, we have a functioning kitchen sink! We did end up using plywood covered in tablecloth as our countertops for about two weeks, however, our granite got installed a lot faster than we could have ever originally hoped for. We had been talking with Home Depot about doing the granite and they said it would take 4-6 weeks once it was templated. Well, we ended up stopping by a granite wholesaler and ordered the countertops on Sunday. The guy came out and did the template on Tuesday and it was installed on Friday. What quick service!
I would love to provide pictures, but David and I decided that we wanted all of our friends who helped out with the kitchen to see it in person before we put up pictures. We are planning on having them over for dinner in a couple of weeks, so you'll just have to wait a little while longer. :)
